Panoramic views of the bay and the mountains. 1 km from the N2 highway, a few minutes from secluded beaches at Glentana, seven minutes from the George national airport, a short drive to the famous Fancourt country club, and 15 minutes from the Outeniqua Choo-Choo steam train station and museum at George.

The historic double rooms en-suite, tastefully furnished with Cape antiques and heirlooms, are located in the original 1760 house, one of the oldest in the Southern Cape. In addition, two full suites are accommodated in the 1820 house. Each has a separate sitting room with a third bed, two bathrooms, a private patio and garden entry. A further full suite for a family also has a second bedroom in the attic, suitable for teenagers and is accessed by the original yellowwood staircase.

Dining: Hoogekraal serves dinner on request. The Dining Room and Supper Room each have their own warm charm, the one with Georgian decor, old crystal chandeliers, historic armoires and traditional old furniture, while the Supper Room, decorated with French bronzes and original Napoleonic pieces, overlooks the ocean and the distant lights of Mossel Bay. Fine silver and quality porcelain are set-off by the soft light of many candles.
