Description

The guest house is run by the owner and consequently, personal and friendly service is the major objective of Ulrike Ausling the German speaking Innkeepert.

In summer Breakfast can be served on the veranda which overlooks the park-like garden with its very interesting creeper covered palm tree.

Wandering round the garden you will find a vast variety of trees that always seem to be bearing fruit. The bird life in the garden is also well represented apart from the domestic fowl that have made the garden their home. The Koi pond also attracts the casual visitor as they enjoy a relaxing drink by the pergola. The garden fronts the beautiful Witfontein forest which leads up to the majestic Outeniqua Mountains.

Directions

From George airport, take the road through the village of Blanco. On leaving the village look out for the Haus am Berg Guesthouse sign on the right. If you are coming from the centre of George; go past the golf club and turn right at the Health & Racquet club. Haus am Berg is number 35 in that road.
